In 1950, Panerai created the first-ever Luminor as a military watch for the Italian Navy. At the time, Panerai watches were exclusively available to military forces and it wasn’t until 1993 that the Florentine luxury watchmaker started to make them available to the public. It began with its Luminor collection – and the rest is history.
To commemorate the 70th anniversary of Luminor, Panerai is presenting its first worldwide historical exhibition dedicated to the iconic collection at their Hong Kong Canton Road boutique.
Titled 70 Years of Luminor – Vintage Exhibition, the exhibition takes visitors through a journey of Luminor with an up-close look at Luminor models created from 1950 to today. Watches on display include exclusive timepieces from the Panerai Museum and local private collectors, unique vintage pieces from Phillips Auction, as well as the latest Luminor models.
Here are some of the timepieces showcased in the exhibition:
With over 70 Panerai timepieces in one place to marvel at, this is one exhibition watch lovers shouldn’t miss.
The 70 Years of Luminor – Vintage Exhibition is open to the public from 22 October to 4 November from 12pm to 6pm at the Panerai Canton Road boutique.
