We’re gearing up for SIHH by doing what any watch obsessives do: studying up on the best and most exciting models, of course. We’ve already fawned over the A. Lange & Söhne 1815 ‘Homage to Walter Lange’, and walked down memory lane with 150 years of IWC.
Now, we’re delving into the world of Jaeger-LeCoultre. They’re continuing their partnership with Argentinean boot makers, Casa Fagliano, with a limited edition Reverso Tribute Duoface on a Casa Fagliano strap. With only 100 pieces available, it’s going to be a must-have for the world’s most devoted collectors.
Two contrasting dials, both equally refined – display different time zones. The slate grey sunray on the front has hand-applied hour markers to echo its Dauphine hands, while a small seconds in a round minute track softens the geometric lines of the Art Deco design. Reverse the face, and there’s a more casual silvered dial with two playful finishes, a Clous de Paris guilloche on the background and an opaline finish in the centre. It also has a 24-hour day/night indicator.
Despite its elegant design, the original Reverso was actually a sport watch. In fact, it was basically an extreme sports watch, loved by equestrian polo-players due to its shatter-proof nature. Fagliano also has a long association with the sport. Their hand-crafted boots are favourites of the polo-elite, like Prince Charles and Adolfo Cambiaso, the highest-ranked player in the world. The new Reverso Tribute Duoface with a Fagliano strap brings the two-shared history’s together, in one refined, 49.4mm x 29.9mm warm-toned pink gold package.
The words “Limited Edition – one of 100” are engraved on the back of the two-toned cordovan leather strap, enhancing its status as a much coveted collectable. This celebration of artistry will be available in Jaeger-LeCoultre Boutiques worldwide after its debut in Geneva later this month. We’ll be there, so keep an eye on our Instagram stories to see it up close @hashtag_legend.
