At the Dior autumn 2020 men’s show in Miami, one of the highlights was when the models walked down the runway in Air Jordan 1s with Dior motifs. Coinciding with the 35th anniversary of the iconic Air Jordan 1, Nike partners with Dior to unveil the limited-edition Air Jordan 1 High OG Dior, where high-fashion meets streetwear.
The silhouette is crafted from the finest Italian calf leather, edge-painted by hand in the shade known as Dior Grey since the house’s founding in 1947. Nike’s Swoosh is filled with Dior’s Oblique motif on the side. The iconic Jumpman Wings logo is embossed on the upper with “Air Dior” below it, representing the best of both design houses.
“Both Jordan Brand and Dior represent excellence in craftmanship and design. We both share a common design ethos around obsession to detail and bold silhouettes. This collaboration leverages each brand’s footprint of luxury innovation, and the Air Jordan 1 High OG Dior design pays tribute to the rich iconography and heritage of both brands.”
Martin Lotti, VP of Design, Jordan Brandat Nike
Alongside the launch of the limited-edition Air Jordan 1, Dior designed the Air Dior Capsule for ready-to-wear and accessories. Designed with the same palette as the shoes, from navy blue to white, the collection balances the timeless silhouettes from Jordan and Dior, transforming classic sportswear into high fashion.
