Graff Diamonds, the world-renowned jewellery boutique, was founded in 1960 by Laurence Graff, who first discovered his passion for the stones as an apprentice at the mere age of 15. He mostly worked to repair rings and create small sized jewellery, and being exposed to these pieces made him more keen in designing. After the business shut down, he moved forward by showing his designs to several different companies in the greater London area, all of which were absolutely stunned with his work. His goal was to make his designs one of a kind. In order to do this, he would seek out the rarest diamonds – a task that not many people are able to do.The owners of Graff Diamonds today and Graff himself make it a point to make their diamonds and jewellery unique to carry on this on-going mission.
This mindset and practice holds true today, with the recent reveal of the Graff Vendôme, a 105.07 carat D Flawless pear-shaped diamond. This diamond sets a new record as the company’s largest cut and polished diamond in their history, having been cut from a 314 carat rough. In addition, 12 other diamonds were cut from the same rough, with the largest being 17.10 carats and 9 of them being D flawless quality, a sight of pure radiance.
This new diamond also commemorates the opening of Graff’s new boutique store, located on Place Vendôme in Paris, France. This store is not one to miss, with the architecture and style reflecting the French culture and the elegance that comes with each and every one of the diamonds that Graff has collected.
