Now coming up on it’s third instalment, Fashion Asia 2018 Hong Kong returns from December 4th to 11th to bring the city a power packed agenda showcasing some of Asia’s finest talents.
Having launched in 2016, Fashion Asia Hong Kong is an initiative funded by the HKSAR Government in efforts to position and reinforce Hong Kong as Asia’s leading fashion capital. Every year an onslaught of industry creatives, leaders and innovators are brought on from various fields within the industry to give insight and address current issues surrounding fashion. Past speakers include Andrew Keith, President of Lane Crawford & Joyce,Deborah Cheng, Chief Commercial Officer of I.T, fashion designers Vivienne Tam, Jason Wu and Han Chong (Self-Portrait) as well as Kevin Ma, Founder ofHypebeast, Margaret Zhang, Susanna Lau (aka Susie Bubble), and more.
This year, the opening ceremony is slated for December 5th, with the debut of the 10 Asian Designers to Watch exhibition. An exhibition that celebrates Asian design and the progression of it’s globalisation. This year’s talents come from a diverse range of backgrounds and each having their own notable honours within the international fashion community. Ffixxed Studios, Cynthia & Xiao, Feng Chen Wang, 8ON8, Pronounce, Snow Xue Gao, Angus Chiang, Moto Guo, Akikoaoki and Chika Kisada are the chosen brands for this year’s exhibition.
