“The scarf is to a woman what a necktie is to a man, and the way you tie it is part of your personality.” So said Christian Dior when he wrote The Little Dictionary of Fashion back in 1954. How true a statement it must be to still be relevant today. With her usual air of whimsy and touch of fantasy, Dior creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri has succeeded in reinventing this staple accessory for AW22. A potential usurper of the iconic Hermès Twilly, each scarf is unique, perhaps making it the ultimate symbol of individuality.

Midnight Oil

In the never-ending quest for eternal youth, La Prairie’s Skin Caviar Nighttime Oil is the newest weapon against the perpetual march of time. Concocted by the skincare connoisseurs at the Swiss luxury brand, the oil locks in moisture along with the benefits of any previously applied treatment. As it turns out caviar is more than just delicious, it also contains retinol – known for its line-smoothing and anti-ageing properties. Plus, for the first time ever, La Prairie’s exclusive Cellular Complex has been infused into an oil, marking another landmark moment for the brand.

In Bloom

Flowers and fashion have always been a popular pairing, but few flowers embody a fashion house like the white camellia. Gabrielle Chanel’s emblematic flower appears across the maison’s offerings from couture to beauty to jewellery. It’s said Chanel was seduced by the camellia’s simplicity and the classic ordering of its petals in perfect regularity. Those qualities are celebrated in dazzling style with the new Bouton de Camélia fine jewellery collection, featuring white and yellow gold with diamonds in styles ranging from earrings and bracelets to a pendant and choker.

Triple Threat

Marking the first time the three brands have partnered, Clot, Sacai and Nike release the first of two new colourways of the Nike LDWaffle this month. Both new versions of the Sacai exclusive silhouette take inspiration from archival colourways from Clot, the first with hits of bright orange and red and a translucent upper from the Clot x Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death” and the second with obsidian grey and navy from the “Kiss of Death” follow-up released in 2013. Also launching is a special ready-to-wear capsule collection featuring a coat, track pants, T-shirt and varsity socks.

Rock Star

Valentino’s mastery tales series celebrating the timeless excellence and extraordinary savoir faire of the maison continues with Chapter 5, dedicated to the Valentino Garavani Rockstud Alcove box bag. First introduced in the Valentino Roman Palazzo Autumn 2021 collection, the petite bag with a big punk attitude comes in three hues of crossed grained leather –classic black, iconic red and a daring animalier print style –as well as an edgy all-over studs version. The iconic Rockstud fliplock closure is on the top of the bag while the antique brass studs define the outlines and leather strap.
