When: May 10, 2016

In conjunction with Le French May’s exhibition, the First Initiative Foundation held a gala dinner, titled “Monet, Monet”. 17 exclusive paintings by Claude Monet, including the famed Nymphéas, were brought to Hong Kong as a result of the collaborative work between the Hong Kong Heritage Museum and the Réunion des Musées Nationaux in France.
Celebrating the event, more than 300 guests were invited to the gala, including FIF Youth Ambassador Eason Chan and FIF Artists in Support Carina Lau. The guests enjoyed a splendid dinner through the hands of celebrity chef Nicolas Boutin, and many other performers. In dedication of promoting education and cultural development of the arts, the FIF launched two children’s book My Monet by local artist Jeanie Leung, and Colour Me Monet, taking young readers on a magical journey inspired by the art of Impressionist painter. The charitable organization intends to donate the books to libraries and schools across Hong Kong with proceeds to benefit the Foundation.
