Popular Lan Kwai Fong seafood and steakhouse, Porterhouse offers a gourmet picnic basket full of romantic goodies this Valentine’s Day, to enjoy in the comfort of your home. 

Porterhouse Seafood & Steak Love Doves Picnic Basket costs HK$1,180 per set and features canapés, focaccia sandwiches, desserts and wine. Included are truffle caviar tarts, foie gras, vol-au-vent, prawn cocktails, 36-month aged Iberico ham served with freshly baked bread, Australian Wagyu sirloin focaccia sandwich with rocket, tomato and pickles. And ending the luscious picnic are chocolate caramel tartlets and vanilla panna cotta. The picnic comes in a vintage picnic basket and features a keepsake cutlery set.

The set also includes a bottle of white or red wine with the choice of Villa Antinori Toscana IGT 2019 or Villa Antinori Toscana IGT 2017. You can pick up your order from the restaurant or get it delivered to your door for a small charge.

For a romantic night in, choose Love Bites from The Mira. Tuck into a heart-shaped pot of char-grilled lobster, heart-shaped Canadian pork loin and Australian beef tenderloin hearts to share with a bottle of wine, also included. The set for two is HK$688 and for an extra HK$100, a mini chocolate smash cake by Bombshell can be added. Pick up from the hotel or have it delivered for a nominal fee. It is available until February 28, 2022.

Zuma brings romance in the comfort of your home with a Valentine’s Day Takeaway Tasting Menu for two, at HK$1,800 per menu. Lovebirds can enjoy special delights of avocado salad with grilled lobster, tenkasu and spicy lemon dressing, semi fatty tuna sashimi, miso-marinated black cod wrapped in hoba leaf and special chocolate fondant with hazelnut praline. To further elevate the date night, couples can add a bottle of Ruinart rosé champagne for an extra HK$660. Available from 12 – 14 February.

The Valentine’s Day set takeaway menu features stunning starters of Australian quail served with braised lettuce, mushroom, hazelnut and shaved truffle; smoked mackerel served with creme fraiche, pickled cucumber, and a touch of dill oil; or oysters two ways, freshly shucked and topped with finger lime caviar and sturgeon N25 caviar.
 
There are three options for mains – grilled duck breast served with swiss chard, dashi red cabbage, and seared foie gras; al dente gnocchi with mushroom, celeriac, truffle cream sauce and kale; or the Wagyu striploin served with black garlic puree, grilled leeks, and confit white onion.

Finish with an enticing choice of raspberry heart topped with raspberry yoghurt mousse on shortbread chocolate biscuit; or Korean strawberries, with strawberry sponge cake, garnished chocolate-dipped strawberries.

The three-course menu is HK$1,080 (+10%) per person with free delivery between 3 and 8pm.

Italian favourite Ciao Chow offers a five-course takeaway menu for you to enjoy a cosy meal at home this Valentine’s Day.
 
Start with a choice of tartare di manzo served with crispy Parmigiano chips; a burrata with heirloom tomato, semi-dried cherry tomatoes; and bruschetta di salmone made with Norwegian smoked salmon dressed with sour cream and salsa verde and served on top of toasted bread. This is followed by pasta, with a choice of pappardelle al ragu; handmade beetroot ravioli filled with goat cheese; and cappellini Ciao Chow, angel hair pasta served with lobster in crustacean bisque.

There are three choices of mains, including passione rossa pizza with burrata and cherry tomatoes; cupidopizza with buffalo cheese, roasted potatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, and caramelized walnut; or guancia di manzo Wagyu brasata, a slow-cooked Wagyu beef cheek in a red wine reduction. Finish with an enticing dessert, San Valentino, a beautiful berry Panna Cotta.
