Galerie Perrotin, brainchild of French art dealer Emmanuel Perrotin, will be opening its second gallery in Asia. The Galerie Perrotin Seoul will open its doors to the public on April 28, with the inaugural exhibition to present the works of Laurent Grasso. Their first gallery in Asia opened in Hong Kong four years ago in Central.
Located in the Jongnu-gu district, the gallery is in the heart of Seoul’s galleries and museums area and close to the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. The 180-square metre gallery space will also house a bookshop that will display the editions and books printed by the Gallery.
The Galerie Perrotin Seoul will be inaugurated with an exhibition of French artist Laurent Grasso’s works, a series of films, sculptures, paintings and photographs that will prompt viewers to ponder the world of uncertainty its influences on the human conscience. The Laurent Grasso exhibition will run for a month from April 28 – May 28, 2016, and will be followed by a solo show of New York-based artist KAWS from June 2 till August 27. perrotin.com
