A revival is just what the doctor ordered. The second iteration of Damien Hirst’s Pharmacy restaurant, a curiosity of 1990s London, recently opened its doors in the Newport Street Gallery, south of the river. Pharmacy 2’s kitchen is headed by a friend of the artist, Mark Hix, and serves classic British and continental fare. The main attraction is the restaurant itself, not just bearing the name of the original but replicating its 1992 interior. Expect to be dazzled by the kaleidoscope of colour from the medicine cabinets and pills embedded in the floor and banquettes. The gallery is owned by Hirst and exhibits his work. pharmacyrestaurant.com
