The mother of makeup returns – this time, with the newest instalment to the cult classic Mothership palettes from Pat McGrath, the Huetopian Dream palette. As always, there are 10 stunning shades in the palette and the packaging remains simple and black, with only the outer carton getting a dreamy revamp.
As soon as you look at the box, it’s easy to have an idea of the colour theme the new palette is going for. From its coral pink shades (in both matte and metallic) to the show-stopping triochrome shade called Blitz Sextreme, the palette promises to deliver a range of looks.
For many, the main attraction of a Mothership palette is the Blitz Astral shades, McGrath’s iconic self-created hybrid formula. While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, it appears that the four shades on the right of the palette are Blitz Astral shades, as they usually are in Mothership palettes. Those four shades seem to have the shifting chrome effect that the renowned formula is famous for. The other six shades are no less beautiful. With mattes, shimmers and metallics to choose from, they offer users something less dramatic and flashy, but still very flattering.
If you’re looking for some inspiration or just looking for more reasons to buy the palette, the best place to see the new palette in action has got to be McGrath’s Instagram itself. Whether it’s a dreamy and romantic look or a full glam beat, the palette seems to be able to do it all.
Avid makeup lovers will know that Pat McGrath rarely misses, especially when it comes to her Mothership palettes. Catch us waiting on her website when the palette drops on 12 August 2021.
