Fame: Zee Pruk and his journey of passion, love, and dedication

He began his journey in the entertainment industry as a host, before eventually finding opportunities as an actor. 

"If I talk about the beginning of my career in entertainment, it would probably be as a host on the DoMunDi TV YouTube channel. After that, I started getting acting roles, and I landed my first lead role in WHY R U The Series. I think transitioning from being a host to an actor helped me build 'confidence'. Because if I hadn't had experience as a host, I wouldn't have had that same level of confidence in front of the camera when I started acting. Also, talking to people, interviewing many different individuals, and chatting with friends all helped me gain more confidence. It allowed me to see the world around me more clearly, and I was able to bring those experiences into my acting."

In Zee Pruk’s Opinion, he believes that 'Boy Love Series' helped society embrace love beyond gender.

"As an actor who has worked in Boy Love series, I can feel that society is becoming more aware and accepting of different kinds of love. Love isn't limited to the idea of a man being with a woman, love is about two people, regardless of gender. If two people love each other, it doesn't matter what gender they are. Before I became an actor, I never saw gender as a barrier. When the Boy Love series started gaining momentum, society began to open up more about LGBTQ+ issues, and there has been a greater acceptance. I see this as a positive change, and now, with same-sex marriage being legal in Thailand, it shows just how far we've come."

For him, a long-lasting career in entertainment is driven by "fun and passion for what you do."

"For me, the core principle I’ve held onto throughout my career as an actor and artist is the fun and love for what I do. Because if you don’t love what you’re doing, you might end up asking yourself, ‘What am I even doing? Why am I doing this?’ and eventually, you’ll feel tired and discouraged. On the other hand, if you love what you do, even when obstacles and problems arise, you’re ready to fix them and make things better. In every profession, work isn’t always smooth sailing. There will be days when you feel exhausted or demotivated, but in the end, you’ll always get through it if you love what you’re doing and are committed to delivering the best work possible."

His latest series, The Next Prince, was an unforgettable production experience.

"The Next Prince is a series that took a long time to shoot due to its grand production. The filming locations were spectacular, and since it's a fantasy series, everything, from the city to the costumes, had to be created from scratch. It was truly one of DoMunDi's biggest projects. Director Off, the crew, and all the actors were very dedicated. Personally, I was really impressed with the camera used for the fight scenes, it captured stunning visuals. I even asked the crew, ‘Why don’t we use this camera for every scene? The shots are so beautiful!’ They told me the camera is quite expensive, so it couldn’t be used for every scene. This camera is typically used in big productions like Hollywood movies or K-pop music videos. I was really impressed by the crew’s commitment to making the series great and delivering quality work for the fans."

From Cutie Pie to The Next Prince, Zee Pruk feels he has grown significantly as an actor.

"First of all, I have to say that I became well-known and widely recognised from Cutie Pie, playing the role of Lian. I feel like I’ve been through a lot, I've experienced everything from acting to singing the series' theme song, and meeting many people. It’s made me realise how much I've grown since the beginning. I’ve developed myself every time I’ve had a new opportunity. One thing that’s helped me grow is meeting and talking with others in the industry, exchanging experiences. Sometimes, talking with people in the same profession opens up new perspectives and ideas that we can apply to our own work. It’s like gathering life experience, and I feel like I still have a lot of room to grow."

Despite struggling with confidence in singing, he dedicated himself to improvement and eventually released his first single. 

"Since I'm an actor and often have to attend events, many of which require me to showcase a special talent, I admit that at first, I had nothing to show. I couldn’t play any instruments, so I chose to sing because I thought I could practice and improve. I decided to take it seriously and started training in a recording studio with a producer, practicing various genres of music. Whenever I performed at events, I’d take the feedback I received to keep improving my singing skills. Eventually, I had the chance to record a series theme song. But even now, I’m still not fully confident in my singing abilities. I keep practicing as much as I can. Then I released my first single, Super Secret, which was written by Amp Achariya and produced by Naow from Mirr. I tried to put my own personality into the song. I feel like I still have room to grow, and I plan to release more singles. Singing has become something I love, and I hope everyone enjoys my work."

Another important role for Zee Pruk is as the CEO of his fashion brand, SUPER SUN.

"Being the owner of a brand is fun but also comes with more pressure and responsibility. When I'm in front of the camera, I just focus on performing my role, and others handle the coordination. But behind the scenes, as a brand owner, I have to manage everything myself, building a team, organizing, and defining the brand's image. Managing SUPER SUN is exciting, but it can also be stressful. There’s no perfect place where things run smoothly all the time; we face obstacles and problems that need solving. In the beginning, it was overwhelming, but over time, I’ve learned to handle the pressure. It's our brand, and I'm just doing what I love. When new problems arise, I focus on fixing them to prevent them from happening again. The brand is now more established, from marketing to building connections, and I have a clearer vision for its future."

Zee Pruk shared with #legend_th that love should be expressed every day, not just on Valentine’s Day, and we can show care for those we cherish daily.

"I believe love should be expressed every day, not just with something special on Valentine’s Day. We can make every day special. Honestly, I’m not sure what my way of expressing love is, as everyone has their own perspective. Just being together and wishing each other well is a form of love. Giving a gift to someone you love is another clear way to show affection, and showing concern for someone is another form of love as well. Showing love every day is a beautiful and meaningful thing, but it should always be a love that doesn’t harm yourself or the other person…as I mentioned, love shouldn’t be limited to Valentine’s Day. What I want to tell my fans every day is, ‘Love me more, and I’ll love you back even more.’ Thank you so much for your love. To me, my fans are incredibly important. They are a huge source of motivation, helping me want to improve in every role, so I can give back the love they’ve shown me."
