Good news, jewellery lovers – Van Cleef & Arpels is set to reopen the doors of their Hong Kong Landmark Prince’s flagship at the end of this month (October 2020). Located at 10 Chater Road in Central, the flagship boutique has been revamped by Jouin Manku Agency, the same agency who designed the original flagship nearly a decade ago in 2011.

Although the flagship is located in the middle of a concrete jungle, the interior design of Van Cleef & Arpel‘s Landmark Prince’s boutique pays homage to the natural landscape and lush mountains of Hong Kong in a multidisciplinary approach.

Spanning over two floors, the newly renovated interior space was designed by the Jouin Manku Agency, a long-standing partner of the Maison which, on top of the Van Cleef & Arpel’s original flagship, has also designed various exhibition and boutique concepts for the brand.

“For the Landmark Prince’s Maison, we wanted to keep the boutique’s iconic elements we imagined in 2011 while creating a multidimensional space echoing Hong Kong’s contrasted landscapes. The result is a decor inspired by both the lush nature surrounding the city and the cutting-edge architecture characterizing Hong Kong.”

From the shopfront glass to its oak wood showcases, the use of sinuous curves draws inspiration from the city’s skyscrapers and is a recurring motif of the new boutique. This is complemented by the sage green that anchors the sofas and refined fabric wallpaper embroidered with stylised fern patterns, creating an unlikely harmony between nature and metropolis.

When customers walk into the boutique on the ground floor, they are immediately invited to savour the Maison’s most intricate creations in a three-part space dedicated to High Jewelry, Jewelry and Timepieces.

An oak wood staircase leads up to the Maison’s bridal bar and Heritage collection, which boasts an array of archived pieces from past decades. An intimate exclusive lounge is nestled at the back of the upper floor for a personalised experience with an unparalleled view of landmarks iconic to the bustling heart of Hong Kong.
