The “Les Collectionneurs” collection is a display of the Maison’s unique timepiece archives in its 265 years of existence. A variety of Vacheron Constantin pieces have been expertly located and recovered around the world with a focus on pocket watches manufactured mainly between 1910 and 1930, while wristwatches from 1940 to 1960 and are up for sale in select boutiques worldwide.

“Les Collectionneurs” represents another facet of Vacheron Constantin. The collection perpetuates this precious link between past and present, enabling our clientele of connoisseurs and collectors to acquire restored vintage pieces directly through the Maison, which is a real guarantee. As for the events organised around the world to unveil these pieces, they attract both seasoned collectors and young generations eager to delve more deeply into watchmaking history.

Christian Selmoni, Style & Heritage Director of Vacheron Constantin

After being acquired in auction rooms and the homes of private individuals under the eye of one of the Maison’s experts, selected vintage timepieces are authenticated through historical evaluation. This process references Vacheron Constantin’s in-house archives that have listed cases and movements by serial number for the past century and a half. To ensure that timepieces are preserved as close to their origins as possible, authentic pieces are then technically assessed to determine the level of restorations necessary. At the Maison’s select boutiques, every watch in the “Les Collectionneurs” collection is delivered to its new owner with a certificate of authenticity and a two-year guarantee.

Watch highlights in the Hong Kong boutique include the Stainless steel chronograph wristwatch (Model 4072), the 18K pink gold triple calendar wristwatch (Model 4241), and the 18K yellow gold chronograph wristwatch (Model 4178) — manufactured in 1943, 1944 and 1946 respectively.

“Chronograph and Calendar” further exhibits the craftsmanship and rich history of Vacheron Constantin. The limited-time display will highlight the Maison’s first every chronograph pocket watch dating back to 1877, alongside the Maison’s Heritage private collection with chronograph and calendar complications manufactured from 1827 to 1960.

Vacheron Constantin’s “Les Collectionneurs” is on show at The Armoury’s Landmark boutique and the Vacheron Constantin Ocean Terminal Boutique from now till 21 February 2021, while the “Chronograph and Calendar” exhibition will be on show from now till 21 February 2021 at the Vacheron Constantin Ocean Terminal Boutique.
