Football fever is at an all time high with the recent conclusion of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Euro 2024 competition. Olivia Bullock provides the scoop on the highest-paid players from teams that made it to the quarter finals
Have you ever wondered what men in their twenties and thirties earn for kicking a ball around a football field professionally? Well ,the list below shows you some of the highest-paid players in the Euros.
Cristiano Ronaldo
Earning almost ten times more than some of the highest paid players in the Euros is the world-renowned Cristiano Ronaldo. Playing for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, the player is on GBP3 million a week (approximately HK$29.8 million).
Kylian Mbappé
Currently under contract with the Paris Saint-Germain Football Club, the French star will soon be moving to Real Madrid. Mbappé is on an impressive GBP888,000 a week (approximately HK$8.8 million).
Aymeric Laporte
The ex-Manchester City player who is now in the Saudi Pro League is earning GBP409,000 (HK$4 million) per week.

Toni Kroos
The German player will soon be heading into retirement as his contract comes to end in June. The Real Madrid player will be saying goodbye to a healthy GBP400,000 (HK$3.9 million) per week.
Harry Kane
It comes as no surprise that England’s captain is one of the top-earners in the Euros. Now playing for Bayern Munich after an impressive run at Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur, the skipper is earning GBP365,000 per week (HK$3.6 million).
Georginio Wijnaldum
Ex-Liverpool player Georginio Wijnaldum is now playing for Saudi Pro League team Al-Ettifaq, where he commands a cool GBP286,000 (HK$2.8 million) per week.
