A British Afternoon Tea Experience with Timothy Oulton at Mandarin Oriental
Enjoy an afternoon tea set from the comfort of Timothy Oulton’s hand-finished leather chairs at Mandarin Oriental’s hotel lobby from July 13 to August 21 2018 and peruse some classic pieces and antiquities from the Rare by Oulton collection. In celebration of this pop-up partnership, executive pastry chef Yves Matthey has created a three-tier afternoon set, which includes his infamous Chocolate Layered Cake, Mixed Fruit Tart “Pimm’s”, Raspberry Éclair and Battenberg Cake and of course, the Sherry Trifle. On the savoury side, guests will be able to enjoy a Stilton Tart with Pear and Walnut, Salmon and Haddock Fish Cake as well as a range of delicious sandwiches.
A British Afternoon Tea with Timothy Oulton is priced at HK$398 per person and is available between 2:30pm and 5pm from Mondays to Sundays. Guests can choose to elevate the experience with the addition of strawberries and cream, a selection of mocaktails, Pimm’s or champagne for an extra cost.

Veuve Clicquot and Kowloon Shangri-La present a new Afternoon Tea with a touch of pink
Serving an array of exquisite sweet and savoury treats with a touch of pink, the Kowloon Shangri-La will be partnering with Veuve Clicquot to celebrate 200 years of Madame Clicquot’s first blend of Rośe Champagne. This afternoon tea set has been created to be paired perfectly with the Champagne and is presented in an Insta-worthy decorative birdcage. Highlights include the specially-made raspberry, sakura and champagne jam to pair with the hotel’s ever-popular scones, a lobster salad and beet bread sandwich.
The afternoon tea experience is available from Monday to Friday, except public holidays, between 2pm and 5pm for HK$498 for two or HK$298 for one minus the champagne and HK$698 for two with a glass of Veuve Clicquot Brut NV and HK$798 for two with a glass of Veuve Clicquot Rosé along with three additional delights.
The afternoon tea is limited to a maximum of 30 guests per day and is only available to book online.

“Flavours of Hokkaidō” Summer Afternoon Tea at JW Marriott
Collaborating with master Japanese pastry chef Shimpei Asada, JW Marriott Hotel presents the “Flavours of Hokkaido” Summer Afternoon Tea at The Lounge this July. Inspired by Hokkaido’s vibrant summer, thethree3-course afternoon tea set is filled with an array of splendid colours and sweet scents. The three-tier stand includes a flavourful creation of sweet and savoury bites such as kirsch and rich Nakazawa fresh cream, Hokkaidō Pumpkin Cheesecake with Hokkaidō pumpkin paste, Hokkaidō Melon Shortcake made with Hokkaidō melon purée, and Haskap Berry Bonbon comprising Hokkaidō Haskap berries. We also can’t wait to try the Uni Kyoto Matcha Tiramisu, King Crab Donuts, Abalone Tart and Lobster Consommé with Seaweed Chip. The set also comes with blueberry and raisin scones served with a selection of homemade jam, lemon curd and clotted cream.

The afternoon tea is available from July 1 to 31 July 2018 from 3:30pm to 6pm daily at The Lounge for HK$258 per person and HK$448 for two with tea and coffee; and HK$358 per person and HK$648 per person with tea, coffee and a glass of Moët &Chandon champagne per person on weekdays.
On weekends and public holidays, the afternoon tea set is priced at HK$288 per person and HK$488 for two; and HK$388 per person and HK$688 per person with a glass of champagne.

Kerry ChoKolate Afternoon Tea
Kerry Hotel has just launched its much-anticipated Kerry ChoKolate developed by Chef Matthew Bennik and Chef Julien Gourmelon, using a mix of of Madagascan and South American cocoa beans. The unique chocolate has a perfect balance of bitterness, depth of flavour and acidity. In celebration of the launch, Kerry Hotel has invited Chef and chocolatier Mr. Christophe Renou to design an exclusive Afternoon Tea set to be served in the Lobby Lounge. This Afternoon Tea will include Chef Christophe’s signature innovative creations, which include a chocolate tarte ‘Tout en Choc’, and ‘Le Roulé Fraisier,’ the pastry that lead him to win the M.O.F pâtissier competition in France.
To complement the sweet treats from Chef Chistophe, the Afternoon Tea set will also feature a selection of savory items including Smoked Poached Baby Pear, Foie Gras Terrine, Goat Cheese and Herb Mascarpone Cream, Brioche, Figs and Shaved Hazelnut, Poached Organic Chicken, Cucumber and Caviar, King Crab, Yuzu Aioli, and traditional candied Orange Scones to complete the set. The Kerry ChoKolate will also be available to purchase at the Lobby Lounge.
The Kerry ChoKolate Afternoon Tea Set will be available from July 4 to September 3 and is priced at $538 + 10% for two people.
