To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Yoox, the e-commerce fashion retailer has tapped JW Anderson to create a genderless capsule collection.

Launching today (18 June), the collection is made up of an assortment of 10 pieces, including ready-to-wear, handbags and footwear – all boasting the DNA and aesthetic codes of the northern Irish fashion label. Championing genderless fashion from the get-go, Jonathan Anderson has dug through the archives and themes from his previous collections for the capsule.

This isn’t the first collaboration between the two. Back in 2011, JW Anderson was one of the participants in the very first edition of The Next Talents, a showcase co-hosted by YOOX and Vogue Italia. In a conversation with WWD, Anderson spoke more about his latest collaboration with Yoox:

“I keep in mind when Yoox first approached us about doing one thing for his or her 20th anniversary and I believed it might be attention-grabbing to do one thing that checked out issues we have now prior to now at JW Anderson. We actually checked out what we thought would make sense for the capsule and created some uneven items, a shirt gown and a skirt, and a patchwork trench coat. Patchwork is a recurring JW Anderson code and I believe the colour palette feels very British in a means and Britishness is a part of our DNA.”
