With a slew of successful businesses under his belt (there are streetwear label CLOT, Woaw Gallery and coffee shop chain Elephant Grounds, to name a few), serial entrepreneur Kevin Poon has found himself at the centre of Asia’s cultural maelstrom. Here, he shares the timepieces topping his wish list
Audemars Piguet
This piece was created in celebration of the Royal Oak’s 50th anniversary, and I love the super nice openwork and just the thinness of everything. It houses a brand-new self-winding extra-thin open-worked movement, calibre 7124, that showcases AP’s amazing craftsmanship – and the pink gold and slate grey bridges really accentuate it as well.
I can’t wait to get my hands on this one! The 16202 is a classic, and I think everyone knows that AP makes really
nice gold watches. This model features a new Petite Tapisserie dial in a striking smoked yellow gold tone, as well as a new self-winding extra-thin movement, calibre 7121. Though slightly larger than its predecessor, the new iteration has a larger barrel, which confers more power for more precise timekeeping.

Bulgari
This one’s a classic designed by Gérald Genta, who produced a series of watches back in the 1990s featuring different Disney characters. I love this limited-edition Mickey Mouse one released by BVLGARI. With a leaping Mickey displayed on a silvered sunray dial and his extended arm functioning as the minute’s hand, it’s serious but playful at the same time.

Richard Mille
The rm 72-01 is Richard Mille’s first flyback chronograph designed, developed and built entirely in-house. It’s super light and features a really cool dial with three colourful chronograph counters – blue for seconds, orange for minutes and green for hours – orchestrated by a six-column wheel. I personally like the titanium model and how perfect it is for everyday wear.

Patek Philippe
The 5990 is a holy grail of Patek Philippe, and I can’t wait to get one! It debuted in 2014 and for the longest time was only available in stainless steel. Last year they came out with a rose gold variation fitted with a warm blue sunburst dial that is a true chameleon depending on lighting conditions.

Rolex
I’ve never even seen the Rolex Daytona with meteorite dial in real life – I’ve been on the waiting list! It looks absolutely stunning, especially the model in white gold with the Cerachrom bezel and Oysterflex bracelet, and the meteorite dial really sets it apart from other racing chronographs.
