The Nike Killshot Returns

J.Crew Men announced on Instagram that the iconic Nike Killshots are “coming out of retirement” and returning to retailers from March 1. Those in New York and Lost Angeles can get their hands on pairs as early as February 25.
The sneaker has had sporadic re-releases since the 1970s, but it has never been include in the Nike lineup of general releases, unlike the all-white Air Force Ones, Sock Darts, Prestos, Huaraches and Air Max 90s.
Often seen as a crisp pair by sneakerheads, the Killshot means so much more to menswear enthusiasts on the internet. On forums like Reddit, users have a borderline unhealthy love/hate relationship with the shoe, so much so that it even has its own memes.
Killshots’ chic minimalism and former exclusivity appeal to fans of the obsessively clean aesthetic, but the majority of available stock is only available through third-party retailers like eBay, often at a steep markup; an aspect of life that sneaker heads have become accustomed to.
Fortunately now we’ll see more people crease their kicks. If you’re in Los Angeles or New York check the pre-sale out here.
