When you wish upon a star, Disney+ delivers. With the Pixar, Star Wars and the Marvel franchises all under one streaming service here’s what you can expect to catch

Disney fans, rejoice! Disney+ is now available in Hong Kong for the first time. The platform is currently available in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, India, Malaysia and Thailand; the streaming service is set to launch in Taiwan and South Korea this month.

From Fantasia to Lilo and Stitch: all the animated film classics

Are you feeling nostalgic for your favourite childhood Disney classics? They are now available for you on Disney+. The classic animated films dating back to 1937, with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, to 2019’s Frozen 2 and more, will be streamable. It’s a great way to revisit or get acquainted with Disney’s most timeless animations.

If you grew up watching Saturday cartoons or the Disney Channel, you’d remember some of Disney’s most popular animated series, from Darkwing Duck to Kim Possible to Muppet Babies. Soon they will all be accessible on Disney+, and you won’t even have to wait for the weekend.

All the live-action Disney movie hits

As the makers of everything from Glenn Close’s 101 Dalmatians to Pirates of the Caribbean (all five) to Avatar, Disney’s library of live-action films is enormous. Between the live-action films, animated series and animated films, you will have a plethora of content to choose from.

Considering how ubiquitous Ironman and Captain America are around Hong Kong, Marvel fans will be ecstatic to access all the Marvel Studio movies and TV shows on demand. Disney has decided to launch some of these movies, including Black Widow, around the same time as their theatre release.

We all missed the movies while living in quarantine. We’ll be able to watch our favourite Pixar films, from Soul to Luca, from the comfort of home (or our tech devices), including all the old school classics like Toy Story, Monsters Inc and more. There will also be original content exclusively for Disney+, including the upcoming Dug Days series centred around the life of beloved pup Dug from the movie Up.

National Geographic films and TV series

Let the nature binge begin! Disney+ provides access to all the National Geographic movies and TV series you could want. National Geographic is home to an immense library of original documentaries and TV shows.
