February and March 2023 General Admission tickets are now available

Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now is the largest retrospective of Yayoi Kusama in Asia outside Japan, featuring more than 200 works from major collections from museums and private collections in Asia, Europe, and the United States, the M+ Collection, as well as from the artist’s own collection.

Starting today, February and March 2023 tickets for Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now (HK$240 for adults and HK$150 for concession) and M+’s General Admission (HK$120 for adults and HK$60 for concession) are available for online purchase.

Visitors who purchased tickets for Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now will be granted access to all M+ galleries, while General Admission tickets will entitle visitors to visit all M+ exhibitions except Yayoi Kusama: 1945 to Now on B2 level and in West Gallery on the second floor. Visitors with General Admission tickets can view M+’s new “Beeple: Human One”, which presents a dynamic digital-and-physical hybrid artwork in the museum’s Focus Gallery. Admission to the museum building’s B1 level as well as the ground floor, where “Pumpkin” (2022) and “Hong Kong: Here and Beyond” are on view, will remain free of charge.

M+ has collaborated with CSL to present a new virtual art experience through AR pumpkins across Hong Kong

To enhance the general public’s understanding of Yayoi Kusama’s works, M+ has collaborated with CSL to bring the artist’s works to life through AR for the first time in Hong Kong. From this Thursday, 12 January 2023 onwards, mobile users can download the CSL 5G Lens app and recreate Yayoi Kusama’s iconic pumpkins in virtual format in different locations across the city.

Five locations across Hong Kong Island and Kowloon, including the M+ Roof Garden, West Kowloon Art Park, Statue Square, The Peak and Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens, are handpicked to display the pumpkin with specific geographical settings.
