Multitasking day and night from a stylist to modern mum, I like to categorise my recommendations to inspirations, me-time and family bonding. I’m looking forward to visiting more exhibitions to meet new talents and explore upcoming vibrant artworks to give myself a creative boost of inspiration. From art to style, there is also the Out of Thin Air: Hong Kong Film Arts & Costumes Exhibition. It’s a bit far from the city in Sha Tin, but it would be nice to spare an afternoon to cycle around the area while paying a visit to the exhibition. Fridays are my self-care time, and I’m excited to try La Prairie’s white caviar treatment for a luxurious me time to end the week and to prep my skin for a busy month of work and a few travels. A few chat groups have brought up a family-friendly restaurant called Jello & Mellow- opened just last month – that I am looking forward to checking out. It seems like a great place to create content in a stylish playful interior with food and fun!

There are a lot of exciting things happening in Hong Kong in June, particularly in the areas of art, culture, and gastronomy. For art enthusiasts, I highly recommend checking out our upcoming show “In Deeds and Gestures,” a solo exhibition by French artist Soimadou Ibrahim at WOAW Gallery Central, which also celebrates his first showing in Hong Kong. This exhibition features 17 new artworks that depict various characters and wildlife from Ibrahim’s native Comoros and other parts of Africa. Through his art, Ibrahim explores the fragility of life and the importance of nurturing a harmonious balance between giving and receiving. For those who love good food, you won’t want to miss the restaurants and bar at Forty-Five in Landmark. The Merchants offers classic dishes from Shanghai and surrounding provinces, with traditional flavors and a modern twist. I particularly recommend the Steamed Xiao Long Bao – it’s fantastic! Kaen Teppanyaki is a Japanese steakhouse that offers both teppan and bichotan cooking in an open setting with gorgeous views of the city. And after your meal, be sure to check out Cardinal Point, a lounge and sky terrace at the top of Landmark that offers spectacular views of Hong Kong’s skyline and Victoria Harbour.

My modern Filipino restaurant Barkada in partnership with Singular Concepts has been buzzing every night for dinner and drinks, but I’m super excited to have just launched lunch with satisfying Filipino classics like tapsilog. We’re also planning fun monthly throwback karaoke party brunches so look out for that on Instagram! With junk season here, I can’t wait to get back on board Entourage, a beautiful yacht that will have Barkada’s Filipino barbecue as a catering option! I also love getting out to Cheung Sha for a beach barbecue at Lantau Diner. Perfect with my fave Only Vodka Soda in Guava Hibiscus and their new Mango Passionfruit flavour.
