It’s a question we ask everyone – who’s your #legend – and more often than not, the answer is usually ‘Mom.’ So for Mother’s Day, we decided to get to know more about our #legend100 influencers who named their mothers as their number one #legend and find out why:
My mom is my #legend because… no one is more selfless, more loving and more beautiful than my mom.
We are alike in the sense that… I’ve always wished that I were as beautiful as she, but now I am glad I inherited her high EQ. 😌
The coolest thing about her is… everything! She is my favourite thing.
The best advice she’s ever given me is… Never rely on anyone else, be your own superhero. 🦸🏻♀️
My message to my mom on Mother’s Day is… I love you, Mommy, always and forever.
My mom is my #legend because… she has always been the pillar of our family.
We are alike in the sense that… the values that I stand for today – which are integrity, compassion, respect and love – were mostly taught to me by her.
The best advice she’s ever given me is… never take things too seriously and to live my life with so much happiness and to do so as if I only had that moment left.
My message to her on Mother’s Day is… Mom, you often tell me to live my life to the fullest and to spare no effort to make every moment a happy one. Well, I love you so much and want you to live your life to the fullest as well, knowing that you’ve done all that you could. I love you and hope I contribute to that happiness. Happy Mother’s Day! ❤️
My mom is my #legend because… she is strong yet kind-hearted. I remember when we had a car accident – she was the one who protected me unconditionally. Not only is she a #legend, she’s my guardian angel!
We are alike in the sense that… we have the same thinking and habits – both good and bad. Even my dad agrees on how much we are alike, especially when we both team up on something!
The coolest thing about her is… she just gets me. Sometimes, we don’t even need to talk and we just giggle all day. Even just by making eye contact with her, she’d know what I was thinking.
The best advice she’s ever given me is… look at everything happening in life as a blessing and a lesson to improve. Whether good or bad, there is a reason for it.
My message to her on Mother’s Day is… I finally understand the unconditional love and sacrifice you made from the very beginning. I feel nothing but blessed to have you as my mother and best friend.
My mom (and grandma) are my #legends because… they’ve always been supportive. The two of them are the most positive, brave, hardworking, family-oriented, loving, kind, hopeful and wise people I know. Whenever something bad happens, they always – without fail – know how to cheer me up! I truly look up to them both.
We are alike in the sense that… I think I really look like my mom! Many people have even said that she looks like my sister. She’s very positive, always smiling, and I think I get my positivity from her.
The coolest thing about her is… that she’s a really smart and savvy businesswoman. She knows more about the stock market than I do and she’s always taught me that I should invest, ever since I was really young. She also taught me to have a really good work ethic, as she’s one of the hardest working people I know.
The best advice she’s ever given me is… stock tips (haha, just kidding)! Never be afraid to fail and always go after your dreams! Did I say she’s very positive and hopeful? She’s definitely an optimist and always believes good things will happen and the truth is, they usually do.
My message to her on Mother’s Day is… love you Mama and Abu bu (my grandma) so, so much!! Thank you both for everything you do for me. I would not be here without your support or love. I miss you guys so much and can’t wait to hug and kiss you both in person.
My mom is my #legend because… she raised me with integrity, provided us with a lot of allowance, freedom to choose and unconditional forgiveness.
We are alike in the sense that… I have my mother’s eyes and teeth! That’s why I had to wear braces and go the extra mile for my dental health. Being determined and persistent are our character faults!
The coolest thing about her is… she never leans over backward at work while she is always making her best efforts to provide us with what we need.
The best advice she’s ever given me is… time is the most valuable thing a man can spend, and to live a life with no regrets.
My message to her on Mother’s Day is… stay healthy from the inside out. Free yourself from mourning the past and worrying about uncertainty. Embrace different lifestyles and views; and make some time for your friends and your hobbies.
