K11 ARTUS takes home the #legend 5-Star Award for Best Serviced Residence

What is luxury? For many of us, it’s defined as a state of great comfort or elegance, having access to all the finest things, the greatest conveniences and the highest levels of service. But what if it could be all that and much more?

At Asia’s first hybrid “Artisanal Home” concept, luxury is being able to detach, contemplate and immerse in the moment. It’s having the intimate space to reflect and distil emotions while thoughts are stimulated and consolidated.

Indeed, K11 ARTUS – whose name is a combination of “art” and the Latin term “Domus”, meaning home – is redefining the luxury residence experience with its comprehensive hotel services and uniquely inspiring environment for cultural creatives.

Perched above K11 MUSEA in the Victoria Dockside ecosystem, including K11 ATELIER and Rosewood Hong Kong, K11 ARTUS comprises 287 residences ranging from studios and one-bedrooms up to three-bedrooms and penthouses. Its exterior was designed by award-winning architectural studio Kohn Pedersen to reflect and complement the rippling waves of Victoria Harbour, and it is the only waterfront property to have private, continuous balconies that wrap around the living room and bedrooms.

Each private residence features an open-plan living and dining room and well-equipped kitchen, but it’s in the interior design by André Fu and his studio AFSO that K11 ARTUS’s true luxury is expressed. Residents are invited to explore new cultures, celebrate craftsmanship and find inspiration through handpicked artefacts, intricate tribal prints, handcrafted details, stone carvings and tactile textures.

The eclectic, worldly style includes traditional Chinese artisanal objects, such as wooden furniture made using baibaoqian techniques (an ancient craft of inlaying engraved work with precious stones) and ceramics with guangcai (colourful hand-painted porcelain that features Chinese and Western elements) curated by Adrian Cheng and a team of specialists. These items are produced exclusively for K11 ARTUS in collaboration with K11 Craft and Guild Foundation, to which 1% of room revenue is donated.

Each K11 ARTUS residence also features delicate multicultural references interwoven with bold geometries, a harmonious and nuanced integration of earthy colours and rich textures that evoke Persian and Chinese textiles and furnishings with mid-century details, yet also reminiscent of a timeless Asian sensibility. The spirit of artisanal creativity and craft continues in the choice of materials, such as richly veined slabs of marble and brushed brass accents.

It’s these details, together with the convenience of around-the-clock service, sublime views of Victoria Harbour and the Hong Kong skyline, and an unparalleled selection of cuisine, leisure, art and culture options on its doorstep, that make K11 ARTUS more than a desirable place to live and explore one’s own sense of luxury and well-being.

“Contemporary living goes beyond aesthetics to where people feel they want to stay there longer, invite friends to join them and feel very much at home with a sense of comfort,” Fu says. “It is not about curating a particular lifestyle. It is about choosing to live with culture.”
