Hot male Olympic athletes to watch out for

Jul 29, 2024

It takes fitness, discipline and focus to stand among the best. Olympic athletes are not only remarkable for their accomplishments, many also happen to be easy on the eyes too. David Ho gives you a list of Olympian eye candy

This summer, everyone wants a guy in finance, 6’4, blue eyes. But we also appreciate a man in fencing, 6’4, gold medallist. If you are a cat lover, Hong Kong’s fencing representative has four of his own so know that’s going to be a package deal.

Tom Daley

Tom Daley’s warm personality and golden retriever energy are reason enough for us to love him. Of course, the washboard abs and dazzling smile of this British diver helps too. But anyone who can make knitting look sexy like Daley deserves to make it on this list.

Florent Manaudou

The French competitive swimmer is 2 meters tall and a powerhouse in the pool. The 33-year-old swimmer was chosen to carry the flag for the French delegation at the opening ceremony and provided the world eye candy as he made his country proud.

The Brazilian artistic gymnast is a beast on the beam and an absolute cutie to boot. While Paris marks his third consecutive Olympic Game, this is his first attending as an out athlete with his partner, marketing analyst João Otávio Tasso.

Miles Chamley-Watson

Standing at 6’5, the American fencer is also a model under IMG Models and has worked with brands like Mercedes-Benz, Dior, DKNY, and Michael Kors. That résumé alone serves as his hotness credentials.

Wang Chang

The 23-year-old badminton player is making his Olympic Games debut this year. The China badminton doubles representative started playing at age seven as a hobby. We are certain we’ll be seeing more of him in the years to come.

Gabriel Medina

Brazil’s Gabriel Medina is competing not in Paris but off the coast of Tahiti in French Polynesia, where the surfing contest is held. The three-time World Surfing League world champion rides waves and hearts equally well it would seem, judging from the many comments on his social media.

Jonatan Christie

Indonesia’s Jonatan Christie is another badminton star making waves. The No. 3 badminton men’s singles seed is hard on himself but has overcome nerves to play well in the Paris Olympics so far.

Alexis Jandard

Alexis Jandard represents France as a diver. He competed at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the men’s 3 metre springboard event and is now trying for Olympic glory once again on his home turf.

Nicolo Martinenghi

Italy’s Nicolo Martinenghi won gold in the men’s 100m breaststroke category with a time of 59.03 seconds. He narrowly edged out the two silver medal winners – USA’s Nic Fink and British swimmer Adam Peat – by 0.02 seconds.

Dylan Collier

New Zealand’s Dylan Collier does not appear to be on Instagram, perhaps a testament to his dedication as captain of the All Black Sevens. But you can catch a glimpse of him on the team account. The handsome Kiwi and his team previously won a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympic, so perhaps gold this time?

Pita Taufatofua

Pita Taufatofua may not be competing at the Paris Olympics this year, but he deserves honourable mention. The Tongan athlete, who has competed in taekwondo and cross-country skiing at the Olympics before, delighted viewers with his oiled up physique while serving as flag bearer at previous events. Sadly, he fell short of competing at the Paris Olympics in the kayak and taekwondo qualifiers this round.
