Need a new pair of shades for spring? Cop yourself a pair of limited-edition GENTLE MONSTER sunglasses at Puyi Optical.

In celebration of Puyi Optical’s 20^th anniversary, GENTLE MONSTER is partnering with the luxury eyewear retailer to launch two limited-edition sunglasses in Hong Kong on Monday, 8 March. 

This special release will include the RICK (LIMITED EDITION)-01 and FRIDA (LIMITED EDITION)-01, which are special variations of two bestselling models from GENTLE MONSTER’s 2021 Collection. The signature acetate FLATBA frames of RICK and FRIDA are fitted with new grey-coloured gradation lenses designed exclusively for Puyi’s anniversary and feature temple tips engraved with “PUYI 20^TH” in commemoration of the retailer’s milestone. 

The limited edition designs of RICK and FRIDA echo their counterparts of the same name in GENTLE MONSTER’s 2021 Collection, and are defined by gold and silver accent colours respectively. The rose gold logo engraved on the outer temple of RICK is highlighted by three rose gold circular pins on the frame front, while FRIDA’s silver logo is complemented by vertical silver pins, lending it a futuristic touch.

Both models will be housed in a sleek and minimalistic cream box exclusive to the collaboration, on which both brand names are printed side by side in matte black – a reflection of GENTLE MONSTER’s exclusive partnership with Puyi Optical which dates back to 2016. 

Both limited-edition models will exclusively pre-launch on 8 March 2021 at Puyi Optical stores and website as well as the GENTLE MONSTER Hong Kong flagship store. For more information, please visit the Puyi Optical official website.
