Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Dine and drink for a cause

If you’ve ever wanted to show support to this momentous cause, this is the time. Not only because the return of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but also the urge to address this ongoing matter. This year, well-known beauty brand Benefit Cosmetics, five-star luxury hotel The Langham and more will be offering you several ways and the portion of sales will go towards the Hong Kong Breast Foundation.
The Langham
As one of the official partners of the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation this year, five-star hotel The Langham has just launched an elegant Think Pink Afternoon Tea to support and raise funds for the cause. A variety of Insta-worthy pink sweets have been crafted by Executive Pastry Chef David Puig alongside pink-hued savouries such as Pacific prawns and organic egg salad with crab roe and mini buns, tomato bread with pomegranate cream cheese and apple wood smoked salmon, a chicken, leeks and red pepper mini quiche and Vienna bread with roasted beetroot and goat cheese. The Think Pink Afternoon Tea (HK$348 per person) is available from now until November 18. The Langham will be donating HK$10 for every afternoon set sold during this period.

Mrs. Pound
For the month of October, modern Southeast Asian restaurant Mrs. Pound will be offering two exclusive cocktails and donating HK$5 from every cocktail sold to the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation. The cocktails, Gabrielle Chanel (HK $130) and The Vera Bride ($130) are inspired by two fashion divas Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel and Vera Wang, who built their own empire and changed history.
In addition, Mrs. Pound will be hosting a Bad Gals Night (HK$350 per person) with Benefit Cosmetics on October 13. The event includes free-flow cocktails, canapés, complimentary makeovers and brow waxes by the Benefit Cosmetics team. Don’t forget to dress yourself as your favourite woman icon, in order to win the best dressed award. The first 60 ladies who purchase tickets will receive a goodie bag with Benefit Cosmetics’ products and a portion of ticket sales will go towards the Hong Kong Breast Cancer Foundation.
Dr. Fern’s Gin Parlour
In order to support this momentous cause, Dr. Fern has created two new healthy prescriptions: Dr. Her (HK$155) and Hayman’s Three Women (HK$155). If you’ve ever wanted to learn about the art behind gin, this would be it. Head of Potions, Dr Paul will be hosting a special Dr. Her gin masterclass (HK$550) on October 20. Ovolo Southside’s Komune and Mojo Nomad Central’s newly opened Mexican eatery Te Quiero Mucho has just launched two limited edition cocktails: Soft Kiss (HKD $90) and The Pink Awakening (HKD $80).
