With Mother’s Day coming up this Sunday, 9 May, you’re bound to be thinking of ways to treat your number one lady (and yourself) to a memorable meal. Here’s our roundup of the best spots in Hong Kong to spoil Mum:

Celebrate Festa della Mamma (Mother’s Day) with your choice of brunch during the day or the à la carte menu at dinner. The brunch includes an array of starters including porchetta cold cuts and black truffle and classic eggplant parmigiana. There’ll be a choice of pastas, meat and seafood for mains rounded off with a tiramisu, profiteroles or fruit and ice-cream for dessert. Two hours of free-flow wine is also available for an additional HK$448.

To mark the occasion, the restaurant is also giving away a jar of homemade pasta sauce as a gift for all mothers. Guests can also opt to add a floral bouquet (prices HK$700-1200) from Blossom Minds- a flower shop where proceeds go towards employment opportunities for young adults with special needs.

In its health-conscious style, Asaya Kitchen is offering up vegetarian and pescatarian menus for Mother’s Day. Indulge in the menus available on May 9th for either lunch or dinner in the tranquil environment. The menus feature fresh, seasonal ingredients including charcoal asparagus, violet artichokes and Japanese sea urchins. Priced at HK$688 per person, a wine pairing is also available for an additional HK$428.

Morton’s Steakhouse x Chanel beauty

Morton’s The Steakhouse and Chanel Beauty are joining forces to make sure your mother is well and truly spoiled this Mother’s Day. All mothers who dine at Morton’s on May 9th will receive a complimentary 30-minute Chanel Beauty eye make-up service at Chanel Beauty in K11 Musea. A three-course steak and lobster set menu (HK$688) and a-la-carte menu are both available for both lunch or dinner. Get ready to indulge in dishes like Caesar salad, luxurious lobster bisque starters and crème brûlée or hot chocolate cake for dessert.

Yung’s Bistro is offering two set menus in celebration of Mother’s Day – the first is an eight-course dine-in set menu for four (HK$3,280) featuring items such as the signature roasted goose and steamed garoupa. There is also a six-course takeaway set menu for four (HK$1,480) to take home with the option of an additional three seafood delicacies (braised lobster, sauteed garoupa, and abalone) at an additional cost. Guests who order the eight-course set dinner will receive a complimentary set of Pharmabelle Skincare Lemon Myrtle Hand Cream & Floral Water (valued at HK$300) and a gift voucher.

Michelin-starred Cantonese cuisine at Yat Tung Heen is the perfect way to indulge as a family to honour your mother. A nine-course menu curated by Chef Tam especially for Mother’s Day features braised abalone, tiger prawns, the signature honey-glazed barbeque pork and more (priced at HK$3,380 for four and HK$6,888 for eight). Classic Chinese desserts include double-boiled sweetened pear soup and chilled mango glutinous rolls with osmanthus pudding for a sweet end to the occasion.

Ovolo has partnered with L’Oreal Paris to present a high chai tea for two this Mother’s Day. Priced at HK$450 for two, the vegetarian afternoon tea comprises a sun-dried tomato omelette and dill roll, organic tomato and watermelon gazpacho as well as a strawberry popping candy cake pop and more – all presented in sumptuous red and pink tones. Each set also includes a glass of the freshly squeezed juice of the day and tea or coffee. Customers can add a glass of G.H. Mumm Cordon Rouge champagne for just HK$50. An exclusive makeup kit from L’Oreal Paris, which includes the Double Extension Beauty Tubes, the Color Queen Oil Eyeshadow, and the Color Riche Shine On Lipstick, will also be included to make Mum feel extra special.
