The fashion industry can be a whirlwind of quick trends, mass-produced garments, and wasteful spending habits. To promote slow fashion, the world’s leading global platform for pre-loved luxury fashion, Vestiaire Collective, hosts celebrity charity closet sales. The latest A-lister to be featured is Academy Award and Golden Globe Award-winning Hollywood actress Jessica Chastain, and her longtime stylist Elizabeth Stewart.

The closet sale will feature Chastain’s past red carpet looks, like a velvet mini dress from Dries van Noten worn on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and a silk dress from Ralph Lauren that was worn to the Tribeca Film Festival. It also includes some street style looks that were curated from their wardrobes, including Jimmy Choo sunglasses and a black Mugler jumpsuit. Other brands included are Gucci, Roksanda, Stella McCartney, Mach & Mach, and Off-White.

On collaborating with Vestiaire Collective, Chastain said, “I’ve worn these pieces during significant moments in my life and I appreciate the craftsmanship that went into making them. I hope others will enjoy these pieces as much as I have.”

Stewart has worked with Chastain for 14 years, and her other clients are a star-studded line-up including Cate Blanchett, Julia Roberts, Viola Davis, and Amanda Seyfried. Stewart said, “I love shopping and selling with Vestiaire Collective and I’m thrilled to open my closet to other fashion lovers around the world to rewear and appreciate these pieces.”

All net proceeds from Chastain’s sale will be donated to Women for Women International, an organization that supports women survivors of war and conflict by teaching them vital social and economic skills. Since 1993, Women for Women International has assisted over 550,000 women in 17 conflict-affected countries.
