From Dior and Valentino to Jason Wu and DKNY, the spring/summer 2016 shows in Paris and New York were all about barely-there make-up looks with a fresh, bold lip.
Designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne at DKNY complemented their ready-to-wear collection with a very wearable and clean look – most of the models on the runway wore very little make-up, with a few girls sporting strong red lipstick.
For a fresh and youthful face, Dior opted for a light pink shadow that adds just a hint of colour to the models’ eyes. And while Valentino sent its cast down the runway with cornrows, the designer left the models’ faces relatively bare, with just a hint of rosy cheeks and natural lips.
To achieve this refreshing runway look, all you need is a little moisturiser, a concealer that doubles up as foundation, bright matte red lipstick, and a luminous finishing powder. Click through our gallery to view the essentials.
