Don’t act surprised… we know many of you have been breaking out your Christmas playlists already. As we well and truly approach winter (well as much as a winter as you can get in Hong Kong), the time to feast is also fast arriving. Forget Thanksgiving and Christmas roasts, those are a given, instead turn your attention towards these new brunches in Hong Kong to give your stomach a little bit of exercise before the festive season.
Mrs. Pound
Things are getting a little egg-centric at Mrs. Pound with her new brunch offerings inspired by travels from around Southeast Asia. The “All Things Eggs” brunch menu features a Thai Chiang Mai Big Breakfast with Chiang Mai spicy sausage, scrambled eggs with chili French beans, mushrooms, sourdough toast and papadam (HK$128), a tangy Avocado Smash with Thai basil, basil percorino cheese, toast and kale salad (HK$128) and Japanese Okonomiyaki Skewers (HK$78) made with cabbage, carrot, onion and served with Mrs. Pound’s special Tokyo sauce. If you’re after something sweet, the Ricotta Pancake Stacks (HK$95) with coconut ice cream (add HK$28) is a special treat for a midday breakfast.
Mrs. Pound’s free-flow starts at HK$150 per person from 12pm to 4pm and includes Prosecco, Mimosas, Pound’s Bellinis and house red and white wine.
