What happens when you combine two icons of speed into a single package? You pick up your jaw from the floor and marvel at the stunning McLaren Elva Gulf.
This retro-themed, two-seater supercar not only celebrates the renewed partnership of McLaren and the Gulf Oil brand – two names synonymous to racing – but also evokes the pedigree of the original race cars that company founder Bruce McLaren designed and raced in the 1960s.
Specially customised by the McLaren Special Operations (MSO) division, this McLaren Elva features the iconic blue and orange Gulf colors along with a screenless and roofless design just like the race cars of yore. But once inside, an innovative Active Air Management System (AAMS) creates an air canopy over the cockpit to provide the driver with a serene and undistracted environment to fully enjoy the adrenaline rush.

And just like Bruce McLaren’s philosophy of lightweight construction, the Elva is built with a bespoke carbon fiber design that creates a clean and sculpted profile. Under the hood, it’s powered by a 4.0 liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine that delivers 0-100kmh acceleration in less than 3 seconds.

“It embodies the racing heritage which we have inherited by Bruce McLaren. The McLaren Elva is truly a stunning vehicle that has been built on our racing heritage,” said George Biggs, Managing Director, McLaren Automotive, Asia Pacific and China.

The Elva is limited to just 149 units worldwide and is expected to be priced starting at HK$13 million. It’s part of McLaren’s Ultimate Series line, joining the P1, Senna and Speedtail in this ultra-exclusive lineup.
