Ahead of Baselworld, Chanel has revealed the ultimate stunner. In a rare pre-Baselworld preview, the French maison brought the “Signature Morganite” watch to Hong Kong, showcasing the luxurious diamond-paved cuff during Chanel’s presentation of its new high jewellery collection, Signature de Chanel.
The supple cuff in 18k white gold has a delicate quilting design composed of rounded squares that is set with white diamonds. A 43.66-carat pink morganite pyramid shines at the centre of the cuff, which, when pressed, lifts up to reveal a secret dial underneath.
Secret watches are rapidly regaining popularity in recent years, perfectly balancing the art of haute horlogerie and joaillerie. The price of the “Signature Morganite” is currently set at HK$4.239 million and will be shown at Baselworld, the annual watches and jewellery trade fair in Switzerland from March 17, 2016.
