Putting a spotlight on the some of the bags with the most distinctive identity for this summer

Portugaba by Christian Louboutin

Handcrafted by Portuguese Artisans, who are renowned for their meticulous attention to detail, the tote is inspired by the identity of Portugal and its traditional costumes and native arts. Created in white canvas with colourful embroidery, woolen fringe and ceramic beads, the inside of the bag might surprise you – with its linen canvas lining decorated with a print inspired by Portuguese tiles. You’ll have to see one in person to believe it.

Ultra Black Collection by Dior

This season, Dior managed to surprise us again with yet another – dark – interpretation of iconic pieces like the Lady Dior, Diorama and Saddle belt bags. The matte black “cannage” calfskin and ultra-matte jewelry give the accessories an edge and a sense of elegant mystery that perfectly embodies the tone of Dior’s latest couture show, which was an homage and celebration of dark tones and black and reinforced the brand’s feminist vision.

Dream On by Shiatzy Chen

Shiatzy chen’s creations, generally inspired by ancient China and its distinct artistic traditions, never fail to amaze us. The new Dream On bag combines immaculate craftsmanship, attention to detail and a contemporary twist on Chinese motifs in an ethereal scene. We also love its very trendy shape and shades. Don’t we need some magic, after all?

Maxi Cabat by Bottega Veneta

The Maxi Cabat is one of the first designs by Daniel Lee, who was appointed as creative director in 2018. The piece is a contemporary and innovative take on the classic Cabat tote and makes use of nappa strips (fettucce in Italian) for a bag that celebrates the brand’s Italian DNA and handmade traditions. The Maxi Cabat is conceived as unisex
and goes with pretty much any type of outfit.

Camera Case by Chanel

The Camera Case is the embodiment of everything that Chanel represents in 2019: effortlessly chic and edgy. Made in tweed and finished with golden details, the bag is part of the Métiers d’Art collection, inspired by ancient Egypt and New York City. The line was imagined by the late visionary designer Karl Lagerfeld, and carries his mark in and out with a unique design.
