From new apps and gadgets to essential cocktails, recipes and movies for staying home – we check in with a few more of our #legend friends to see how they keep themselves entertained during lockdown.
Star Wars (all of them), Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit, Harry Potter (duh).
Favorite recipe/dish you like to cook:
I’ve discovered breakfast as a meal – in general. I’ve never eaten breakfast before, and no, brunch doesn’t count.
Favourite midnight snack:
I’m usually not up at midnight as I’m in bed by 8:30/9pm.
Favourite at home workout:
BBFiT – an app launched by my girlfriend in Australia with weekly challenges that are so fun to follow. It’s Pilates/Barre Cardio-based workouts and all of them are under 30 mins. The other one is Down Dog for yoga; we spend a lot of time sitting when we’re at home, so it’s always good to do a bit of stretching.
Favourite cocktail to make at home:
Well, this is awkward… I don’t drink at home.
Favourite candle/room scent:
I have a beautiful brass oil diffuser and since it’s summer, I love to wake up to the smell of lemongrass.
I challenge anyone to a round of Connect 4. Another game I rediscovered during this lockdown is Monopoly Deal (the card game version of Monopoly). Warning: friendships will be tested.
Mochi ice cream, preferably in bed while face masking.
Favourite at-home workout:
I was doing Caro Daur and Chloe Ting workouts on YouTube quite regularly. Then my boyfriend, Raph, convinced me to join him on Freeletics, an app where you can customise your workouts based on what your target is. Workouts are around 20-30 mins each day and I’m on week two now.
Favourite candle/room scent:
The three-wick Bacio scented candle from Fornasetti. I’ve been getting bigger candles (3-5 wicks) lately, as I spend more time at home and they take longer to go through.
Favourite loungewear:
Right now, it’s a robe, camisole and trouser set by Sol, a loungewear label by my friend Lois Tien (@sol_thelabel).
I just picked up the avocado slicer from OXO. It’s one device that can perfectly cut open, remove the seed and evenly slice the avo… it makes me so happy.
Book you’re currently reading:
I just finished André Leon Talley’s memoir The Chiffon Trenches, which chronicles his career in fashion, and I’m starting Spy Schools by Daniel Golden.
