Hong Kong lifestyle brand kapok marks 15 years in the city, and to celebrate, launches collaborations with 15 local and international brands
Arnault Castel, the Frenchman who founded kapok in 2006 as a lifestyle shop, started the brand with a vision to discover and bring “future classics” to an Asian audience. Now, 15 years on, the shop has established itself as an emporium of unique lifestyle goods.
Castel has continued to push kapok’s growth from a quirky shop to an internationally renowned brand known for its authentic yet approachable eye for fashion and design.

Celebrating this milestone, the shop invites 15 brands to put the kapok spin on their products. Collaborators include Ciaolink, Tammy & Benjamin, Ditto Ditto and Malin + Goetz. These designs take on elements of the letter k, the kapok flower and its vibrant colours. These design details are also found on the facade of kapok’s Victoria Park shop and its new anniversary logo.
“With this toolbox of patterns, shapes and colours, we set out to work with 15 of our beloved kapok brands, new and old, to create a collection of 15 collaborations, especially for our anniversary,” said Castel.
These 15 collaborations will launch throughout the holiday months.
