For this months #100Takes, Photographer Ivan Tong shares the duality of tranquility and loneliness in this collection of photographs, ‘All by myself’.
“Many of us see ‘loneliness’ as a sad thing but when we change the word to ‘solitude’, we will be better able to see the benefits of being alone. As a street photographer, I’m always walking around the city alone with my camera, observing people. For me, photography is a solitary practice. Sometimes when I spot men on the streets by themselves, I can see their mental strength and feel their inner peace. ”
